After playing Cynthia Weil in the Broadway production of Beautiful – The Carole King Musical in 2017, Kara Lindsay returns to the show beginning July 12, 2018.This will be her second stint as Cynthia Weil, the celebrated lyricist and friendly rival to Carole King. Working under the same publishing roof, the two legendary songwriting teams pushed each other to the top of the charts with multiple Billboard No. 1 hits.
Through August 4, the title role of Carole King is being played by Melissa Benoist, star of the TV series Supergirl, marking her Broadway debut and drawing fresh attention to Beautiful.

American actress, born in 1985.She made her Broadway debut in 2012 as Katherine Plumber in the Tony-winning Newsies.
After rising to prominence with Newsies through 2014, she went on to play Glinda in the Tony-winning Wicked from 2014 to 2017. In 2017 she reprised Katherine Plumber in the filmed stage production of Newsies, and from September to December 2017 she appeared on Broadway in Beautiful as Cynthia Weil.
