The pre-Broadway tryout of The Devil Wears Prada, originally scheduled for summer 2020 in Chicago, was postponed to summer 2021. The venue was changed from the James M. Nederlander Theatre to the CIBC Theatre, with performances planned for July 13 to August 15, 2021.
The production team—filled with in-demand creatives—cited scheduling conflicts as the main reason for the delay. Following the Chicago run, the show was expected to transfer to Broadway, but the Broadway opening date was not confirmed at that time.
