Since its first performance on November 14, 2016, Dear Evan Hansen has continued to fill the Music Box Theatre to capacity. The hit musical welcomed a new leading man, Jordan Fisher, who took over the role of Evan Hansen.

In our previous update (March 1, 2018), we introduced Ben Platt, who won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical, and his successor Taylor Trensch. The role of Evan Hansen is known for showcasing talented young actors.This time, the role was given to Jordan Fisher, an American actor widely recognized for his television work. Dear Evan Hansen marks his Broadway debut.
Reflecting on his Broadway debut, Fisher said, “I still remember the first time I saw this show and how deeply it moved me. Now that I get to share that same emotion with audiences every night, it truly feels like an honor.”

Jordan Fisher is a gifted performer with a career as a singer, songwriter, and dancer. His smooth, husky voice has earned high praise—Ariana Grande once described it as “so captivating, it reminds me of Whitney Houston.”
Since signing with Hollywood Records in 2015, he has released several songs, including his solo track “Mess.” In the official music video, his sensual voice and dance style are on full display.

Jordan Fisher – Profile
Born April 24, 1994 – Birmingham, Alabama, USAFisher began his career in 2009 as a child actor on television and gained popularity after appearing in the 2013 Disney Channel film Teen Beach Movie. He went on to appear in several TV productions, including the musical broadcasts Grease: Live! and Rent: Live!, establishing himself as a versatile performer.
In 2015, he signed with Hollywood Records and released his own music and albums. His stage experience includes portraying Michael Jackson in the 2019 workshop for the Broadway-bound musical MJ the Musical. In January 2020, he made his official Broadway debut as Evan Hansen.
