Taking center stage is Fantasia Barrino, winner of Season 3 of “American Idol,” whose fourth album “Side Effects of You” debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. charts. A Grammy Award winning vocalist, she leads a cast of 25 talented singers and dancers that includes Emmy Award winning actor and tap dancer Dule Hill.The music is performed by the Jazz at Lincoln Center All Stars, a 17 piece orchestra handpicked by Wynton Marsalis, the artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and a legendary trumpeter who has won nine Grammy Awards across both jazz and classical categories.

The Plot / Summary of After Midnight
The Cotton Club was a legendary Harlem nightclub during the Prohibition era of the 1920s. Run by notorious gangsters, it was a glamorous venue where the clientele were exclusively white while the staff and performers were all African American. Among its famous guests was comedian Charlie Chaplin.
The club became famous for its jazz performances, with the Duke Ellington Orchestra emerging as the most celebrated band of the 1920s and 1930s Harlem nightclub scene.
“After Midnight” recreates the sultry, extravagant atmosphere of the Cotton Club through the music of swing and blues performed by a big band, along with dazzling singers and dancers. This spectacular Broadway show transports audiences back to the golden age of Harlem jazz.
