The Plot / Summary of MJ the Musical
It begins inside the rehearsal room of the Dangerous Tour, where Michael is discussing the opening number with his manager Rob. Suddenly, an interviewer named Rachel and her cameraman enter, and an interview begins.
Through the interview, Michael reflects on his past. From memories with his family and the Jackson 5, to his groundbreaking partnership with music producer Quincy Jones, to the record-shattering success of the album “Thriller,” these iconic moments are recreated through powerful performances on stage.
The musical also shows Michael clashing with his management team over the ambitious production. They insist it is impossible, too costly, and too dangerous. Michael, however, recalls Quincy Jones’ words: “Stay true to your vision. Never let anyone stand in the way of it.”
This musical reveals what it truly meant for him to remain the King of Pop, what he wanted to show his fans, and the role music played in his life. His unwavering commitment to his art shines through every scene.

In one word, it was the best! I haven't seen many musicals, but I would go so far as to say that this was the most impressive one I have ever seen. The audience in the theater, including myself, were incredibly excited. It was an excitement you don't get in Japan. I don't usually make much noise, but I was influenced by those around me and ended up making a lot of noise.
I can't describe how I felt here, so if you have the chance, please go see it!
