Will Bloom, a journalist living with his pregnant wife Josephine, grew up enchanted by the stories of his father, Edward Bloom. Edward was a gifted storyteller who could captivate anyone, and young Will loved listening to his tales. But as Will grew older, he realized most of those stories were fabrications, and he could no longer accept them at face value.

Three years earlier, at Will’s wedding, Edward once again became the center of attention. With his usual flair, he told the crowd about catching an enormous fish on the day Will was born, drawing cheers from the guests. For Will, it was the final straw – on his own wedding day, his father had stolen the spotlight. From that moment, the distance between them only deepened.

One day, Will’s mother Sandra informed him that Edward had fallen ill. Rushing to his bedside, Will was exasperated to find his father still spinning stories, even from his sickbed.

A dreamer until the very end, Edward continued telling tales, while Will longed to uncover the truth behind them. Father and son remained at odds until Edward passed away.

Later, while going through his father’s belongings, Will discovered an old deed with a woman’s name on it: Jennifer. Seeking answers, he visited her and learned that, hidden within Edward’s fantastical stories, there had always been fragments of truth.
