The role of Francesca is played by Kelli O’Hara, a powerhouse Broadway actress and singer with four Tony Award nominations. Opposite her as Robert Kincaid is Steven Pasquale, who previously played the role at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts before carrying it to Broadway. The two actors also shared the stage in “The Light in the Piazza” and the Off-Broadway production “Far From Heaven,” making their chemistry one of the highlights of this show.

The Plot / Summary of The Bridges of Madison County
One day, while her husband and kids are away for four days, a stranger arrives at her door asking for directions. The man is Robert Kincaid, a photographer who has come to capture the famous Roseman Covered Bridge but has lost his way. Francesca offers to guide him, and she soon finds herself drawn to Robert’s quiet strength and mysterious charm, while he is captivated by her warmth and kindness.
As they spend four unforgettable days together, their bond deepens into a passionate connection. On the final day, Robert asks Francesca to leave with him and start a new life beyond the small town…
