Cats – Review

Review by Tanaka:

The dancing was amazing

The dancing was especially impressive – the movements were so quick and acrobatic, just like real cats. The songs and costumes also fit the theme perfectly, so I was completely drawn into the world. That said, since it’s about cats, there isn’t really a clear storyline, so I wasn’t always sure what the plot was about (lol). But honestly, watching the actors throw themselves into playing cats and dancing nonstop was more enjoyable than trying to follow complicated English dialogue. Even with my limited English, I had a great time.

Review by Mendy:

A little underwhelmed

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I felt a bit let down. The cast’s singing and dancing were excellent, of course, but personally I couldn’t really follow the story – it just looked like actors dressed as cats dancing to music without much plot. There were lots of families in the audience, so maybe it’s better suited for kids. It just wasn’t for me.

Review by “Cats!”:

One of the best I’ve seen

This might be the Best musical I’ve ever seen. Beforehand, I read some comments saying it was “boring,” so I was a little worried, but those fears were completely unnecessary. I couldn’t take my eyes off the stage for the entire two and a half hours. Sure, there isn’t a traditional story, which may not be for everyone, but I personally loved it. To me, musicals are all about singing and dancing, so this was perfect. During intermission, kids could even go up on stage to take photos with the actors in costume, which makes it great for families.

Review by Natsumi:

Honeymoon memories

I went with my husband on our honeymoon, and it was such a wonderful memory. Everything – the music, dancing, costumes, and makeup – was pure Broadway quality. We went to a 2 PM matinee and the theater was packed. There were lots of families, and even some people in the audience had cat makeup like the actors, which was fun to see. The atmosphere was so contagious that I even bought cat ears as a souvenir on the way out.
