The Plot / Summary of The Addams Family
Creepy and kooky, the Addams Family is a ghostly clan that loves misfortune and all things macabre. Joined by the spirits of their ancestors from the graveyard, they gather for their traditional family reunion.

One day, Wednesday’s boyfriend Lucas announces that he will bring his parents to the Addams’ mansion. Wednesday grows anxious, while her parents, Gomez and Morticia, worry that their daughter may change because of love. The entire household is thrown into chaos.

Meanwhile, her younger brother Pugsley, both relieved and saddened by the lack of his sister’s usual teasing, begins plotting ways to break the couple apart.

As the day arrives, Lucas and his parents finally come to the mansion. Wednesday and Lucas fear that their families won’t get along. Sure enough, one unsettling event follows another, leaving Lucas’s parents bewildered by the bizarre Addams clan. To make matters worse, Lucas’s mother accidentally drinks a magic potion and undergoes a wild transformation.

The Addams Family – Review

Review by Chikanyan:

As Funny as the Movie

I was amazed to see the characters looking just like they did in the movie! The scene where the sexy mother snips off the roses and places only the stems in a vase was exactly the same as the film, it made me laugh so much.

Review by Tomochin:

The Addams Family

I was thrilled when Thing appeared, but disappointed it barely showed up afterward! Gomez was okay, though my American friend said he’s actually famous. Morticia was definitely the best of the cast, with a vibe very similar to Cher in the movie.

I was let down by Wednesday’s look. I wanted her to be the classic braided child, but I guess that wouldn’t work with the story here. Still, it felt odd that Wednesday had grown up while her brother stayed a kid. Uncle Fester was great, maybe even rivaling Morticia. I always imagined musicals to have more dance, but this one was mostly singing. They could have done more with the tango!
