This historic theater was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1963. The name Astor Place comes from the prominent Astor family, once major landowners in New York. While not widely known among general visitors, the venue carries deep cultural and architectural significance.

Blue Man was much more blue than I thought
I saw it once in Las Vegas, but I had some time to spare so I went to Blue Man where tickets were cheap ♫ The content was completely different from the previous performance, so I enjoyed it from start to finish (*^^*) I'd like to see it again when it comes to Japan!
I took my 4-year-old child there, and he was so scared of the blue faces that he started crying... It was really fun, but it's true that the blue color is a little creepy, isn't it? However, the other customers and staff were really kind, which helped us out (tears). It looks like we'll have a while before we see a Disney film.
As other reviews have said, this is a film I recommend for families and children. There's probably no other film like this that's so engaging and enjoyable from start to finish, without any words. We got poncho seats, but I was nervous about getting splashed with paint... The sense of realism was incredible, and it became a wonderful memory of our trip to New York for the kids.
It was a completely non-human character, and I was like, "Who is he?!" It felt like something out of a movie, and it was really interesting. We were able to take a commemorative photo at the end, so I was super excited. Looking up close, he was sweating profusely. He really is human.lol
It's a show for children, with a lot of honest jokes! I think there were a lot of families. It would also be good for friends. If you want to see a show that's more overseas, this is the place for you.
We went to see Blue Man because the tickets were cheap, and we were very satisfied with the high quality despite the low price! I had only heard of them before, but I'm glad I saw them (*^^*) There were some kids there crying and with pale faces.
There were a lot of small children there. I sat in the poncho seats, so it felt like a dolphin show in Japan, and I was scared of the paint-like things that would fly at me at any moment lol. But it was fun. I recommend the poncho seats.
It was very easy to watch. I've seen it in Las Vegas, but it's still fun no matter how many times I see it! I also got cheap tickets, so it was a win-win situation.
The show was amazing, of course, but I was also impressed by the way they played around, got the audience involved, and how they were able to captivate the audience without words. I wonder if Stomp is like this too. Tickets were also reasonably priced, so I think I made the right decision to see this instead of musical!

Today Blue Man Group is a worldwide sensation, but it began in 1987 when three friends, Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink, created the first trio. They started out performing on the streets of Manhattan’s East Side, attracting attention with their unique blend of art, music, and comedy.As their popularity grew, they moved into a small club in the same neighborhood, eventually establishing their permanent home at the Astor Place Theatre in 1991.
Since then, Blue Man Group has performed more than 10,000 shows at Astor Place, becoming one of the longest-running and most iconic Off-Broadway show productions.
