Highlights of Diana – Must-See Moments
Original Score by Bon Jovi’s David Bryan
The score for the Broadway musical Diana was composed by David Bryan, the keyboardist of the world-famous rock band Bon Jovi. This is not his first time writing for Broadway. Teaming up with playwright Joe DiPietro, he created the 2010 musical Memphis, which won the Tony Award for Best musical.

Diana – Story
The Plot / Summary of Diana
From an early age, she excelled in ballet, swimming, and horseback riding, and was beloved by her classmates. At the age of 12, however, her parents divorced, casting a shadow over the once peaceful life she had known.
In 1979, Diana met Prince Charles at a royal gathering, and their relationship quickly blossomed. Just two years later, they became engaged and celebrated a lavish wedding at St. Paul’s Cathedral, marking the height of her fairy-tale moment.
The couple went on to have two sons, but married life was far from the dream Diana had imagined. Charles continued his long-standing affair with another woman, while Diana endured relentless scrutiny and harsh criticism from the press, leaving her emotionally drained.
Though her life appeared to be a Cinderella story, growing up in a wealthy noble family and marrying into royalty, the reality was much darker. She lacked affection from her parents, and her husband offered only superficial gestures of care, leaving her with profound emotional scars.
Longing for true love yet unable to confide in anyone, she fought her loneliness in silence. Her struggle and resilience remain at the heart of her story.

Amazed to find out that the music is by David from Bon Jovi. It even makes me wonder if he might appear on opening night as a surprise. Since I live nearby, I quickly grabbed tickets for the opening performance.
I purchased my ticket right away. With so many new musicals opening, it was hard to choose, but I had never heard of a musical about Princess Diana before, so I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t wait to see what kind of show it will be.
