Nice Work If You Can Get It – About the Show
Highlights of Nice Work If You Can Get It – Must-See Moments
This hit musical was nominated for ten Tony Awards in 2012. Featuring the timeless songs of America’s legendary songwriting duo, the Gershwin brothers, it’s a sparkling comedy full of wit and charm. The title can be interpreted in many ways, but perhaps most simply as “Wouldn’t It Be Nice If You Could.”
The lead role of Jimmy is played by American actor Matthew Broderick – known to many as the husband of Sarah Jessica Parker, star of “Sex and the City.” The heroine, Billie, is portrayed by Broadway favorite and multiple Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara. With such a star-studded cast, the show shines both musically and dramatically.
Beyond its clever script, the story is brought to life with dazzling song and dance numbers set against the backdrop of old-time America. This production is Broadway at its best – a glittering, classic-style musical that will delight anyone who loves the golden age of theater. Highly recommended for those who want to experience the very essence of Broadway.
